Feral Cat & Plumbago Flowers TNR Square Scarf
This square scarf features artwork inspired by the overlooked beauty and inimitable spirit of feral cats. It celebrates their strength, grace, and mystery. The illustration takes cues from my own neighborhood, where the gene pool leans into black cats, and where a flower called the plumbago flourishes.
Despite the desert-level heat and dryness where I live, plumbago manage to push out multiple soft-purple blooms again and again, without a single drop of water. Similarly, feral cats live an equally tough life and manage to just scrape by — which is why helping them with TNR (trap, neuter, return) is so important.
Two colorways:
- Day: Bright sky, peach-pink border
- Night: Dark sky, lilac border
Proceeds from this scarf will go towards my efforts to help my neighborhood feral and semi-feral cats.
The scarf is made of a custom poly crepe de chine fabric for both its super-soft and lightweight qualities, as well as ease of cleaning and longevity. The edges are sewn with a neat rolled hem.
17" square (43,2cm square)
Care: Hand wash gently in cold or lukewarm water, with a few drops of mild detergent per sinkful of water. Hang dry (lightweight fabric dries quickly). A warm iron and light to medium steam will make wrinkles disappear completely. I've tested this myself numerous times!
