Ura #11 Scarf — 宇良 — 力士 — Sumo wrestler scarf
#11 from my "Daily Ura" illustration series is a repeat pattern that is now a scarf you can wear! The pattern has Ura doing some of the pre-match formalities, including chirichouzu (showing of hands) and shiko (leg lift and stomping). Ura had one of the best-looking shiko until his knee injury sadly took that away.
The pink-on-pink color scheme is of course a reference to his cherry-blossom pink mawashi.
This scarf is made of a custom poly crepe de chine fabric for both its super-soft and lightweight qualities, as well as ease of cleaning and longevity. The edges are sewn with a neat rolled hem, in matching pink thread. The size is also long enough to go around your neck twice, if preferred.
48"W × 17"H (121,9cm W × 43,2cm H)
Care: Hand wash gently in cold or lukewarm water, with a few drops of mild detergent per sinkful of water. Hang dry (lightweight fabric dries quickly). A warm iron and light to medium steam will make wrinkles disappear completely. I've tested this numerous times on scarves I'm keeping for myself!
